Title: AQ23 - 17th December. Some oddities
Post by: grahame on December 17, 2023, 02:34:13
Can you place these unusual railways?   One is gone completely, there are heritage remains of another around, there is a re-creation of part of a third and the fourth is in daily service.

Google streetview from the site of that experiment. The intrepid photographer seems to have left the road for a timber yard.

All correct and before 9 a.m., even on a Sunday morning.  The Coffee Shop never sleeps, even when most of the passenger trains do. Society has moved on, towards a 24 hour 7 day operation ... perhaps dragging others along behind.  But that's a subject a long way from a lighter side advent quiz.
