Title: Thank you and so good to see you - Peter, Paul and Matthew Post by: grahame on December 09, 2023, 12:30:50 It was really, really good yesterday to see so many people - old friends and new - coming together to celebrate 10 years of transformed services on the TransWilts line from Swindon to Westbury via Chippeneham, Melksham and Trowbridge. A particular mention for people who have been so supportive, but have moved on and no longer live in the area, but who made the journey to see us on the day. So key in the work we have done - Matthew Golton, with GWR at the time of the new service launch and for many years who now lives "up north", Peter West of the Department for Transport who has retired from the Department for Transport and lives "somewhere in the Thames Valley" and Paul Johnson, retired chair of TransWilts who also now lives in "the Home Counties". All three of these gentlemen have made a diffenece beyond just my little local line, and I want to record my appreciation of the work and support, often unsung in public, they have put in. That appreciation comes from personal help they have given and interaction - real and not hearsay!
