Friends of Parson Street Station - Documentary Opportunity
Hey guys, I'm a final year film student at the University of Bristol. A small group of students and I are looking to shoot our final year documentary on the current state of Bristish railways. We think Parson Street Station would be a great subject through which to examine the underappreciation of smaller stations.

I don't know Kasper - but he's right that there are many smaller stations that are under appreciated - having said which almost every small station DOES have a band of dedicated supporters,

Just like  The People's Popular Front For Pilning.....j
Or should that be ,The Pilning People's Popular Front.

I will add open comment here - Pilning still has such huge and obvious potential, and now that the line through there is electrified the acceleration of trains should be such that a stop could be added each way every hour - initially on the IET that's running from Cardiff towards Penzance.  But the business case for that means that traffic other than those who can walk there using current roads and paths are needed to use the trains, and that means car parking, an easy connection to the main road, and a footpath and cycle way for those headed to and from businesses at Severnside, a few hundred yards from the station.

I'm wondering if Bristol Rail Campaign (formerly FoSBR)  can help there.
