Where was Adolphus Street Station and when did it close? 16th September 1863 - 160 years ago today - Truro (Newham) station was bypassed ... Title: Re: Stations closed a very long time ago Post by: Mark A on September 16, 2023, 18:59:03 Quite a walk from Bradford's city centre, but still only closed as a passenger station in the 1860s - after which it had a long life handling goods traffic. The gradient into the terminus caused the occasional entertainment. At least, I hope no one was hurt.

Presumably this was never for passengers, as, outside the station throat, the trackwork has a surprise. The 1894 town plan, and most other maps, do mark that station as "(goods)".
