Title: Re: Where were bobm and I this morning, 16th June 2023 Post by: PrestburyRoad on June 16, 2023, 19:26:37 Seeing the caption for the preserved sections of rail reminded me that sections of the lower type of rail are visible as fence posts on the Cheltenham-Stratford line. This was built in the period 1900-1906, long after the end of the broad gauge, so I guess GWR had a big stock of old rails available for repurposing. Waste not want not, as we were taught by our parents.
