I think I was brought up in a different universe and a (re)minder might be needed.  Am I alone?

Had to Google the quote, as I didn't know it offhand (other search engines are available).
If the station is THAT obvious, it must be Taunton, prior to all the platforms, etc!  :'(

Completing the answers as we seem to have strayed away from the quiz

1. Rodwell (Rodwell itself on the Rodwell trail)
2. Mottisfont and Dunbridge
3. Weymouth (road replacement for the proper train on the quayside)
