Title: Luxury travel for Finn and I from Westbury. Post by: JayMac on May 03, 2023, 11:30:14 Finn and I spent last night with friends in Swindon. This morning we're heading to Yeovil for lunch with my daughter. It's always a lottery whether rail replacement buses will take dogs. Driver descretion. I had a GWR guard on my preceeding train today, 3rd May 2023, call her Control to ask whether dogs were being allowed. It was a 'Yes' meaning we didn't have to dogleg ( ;D) via Salisbury to Yeovil Junction.
It helps that the RRBs are being provided by another First Group company, Truronian. Finn and I have lucked out with one of their executive coaches, whose day (well weekend mostly) job is ferrying my home town's kickyball team about.
