The above article is mainly about dogs hauling loads on roads, but near the end is a picture of a dog team hauling a rail vehicle.

In the UK use of dogs to haul carts or wagons on public roads has been prohibited for many years, largely on animal welfare grounds. Still allowed on private property though, which would include most railways.
