Eike Schmidt has laid out his rules for email etiquette in a message to staff. Bold characters are out, although underlining is still acceptable where suitable for words or salient phrases. "You should also avoid whole sentences in capitals," Mr Schmidt says. He's gotten me thinking. HERE ON THE COFFEE SHOP WE HAVE NO SUCH RULES!!! But we have had guidlines and they have made sense over years and remain so ... I'm not going to repeat them here. Member's views and suggestions on updates very welcome, though A big thank you to all our members who sensibly script their messages and help make the activity of reading, and being a moderator, here such a pleasure. I'm glad I don't run a gallery in Italy :-).
