Title: TWAO for Cambridge South station approved Post by: stuving on December 21, 2022, 23:52:46 Cambridge North has now been open for a few years - long enough to become squalid, no doubt. Since then I've seen occasional reports of the arguments about the siting and design of another new Cambridge station, which might be called Addenbrook's Halt. But presumably Graham didn't have much of a customer base for training in the biomedical research community, so it didn't feature here.
Anyway, the TWAO for Cambridge South has just been signed off (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/cambridge-south-infrastructure-enhancement-transport-and-works-order?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=govuk-notifications-topic&utm_source=ce049b6a-fd22-41c5-8ccc-0ac849d6d77b&utm_content=immediately), leaving an inspector's report for the benefit of any insomniacs who have run out of sheep. And, more helpfully, Network Rail offered some explanation (https://www.networkrail.co.uk/running-the-railway/our-routes/anglia/improving-the-railway-in-anglia/cambridge-south-station/) of what they asked for permission to do.
