Title: Forest of dean new bus service Post by: infoman on October 15, 2022, 09:27:19 https://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/transport/the-robin/where-can-i-travel/forest-of-dean-south/#main
Can't seem to find the cost of journeys,if any,and not sure its for forest of dean residents only. Suggestion that the service is advertised at Chepstow and Lydney train stations. Hope it all goes well. Title: Re: Forest of dean new bus service Post by: ChrisB on October 15, 2022, 11:34:50 Looking around the site you linked to
Quote Everyone can travel Absolutely anyone can travel on the service. As for cost... https://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/transport/the-robin/how-to-book/how-much-does-a-journey-cost/#main# It's there if you look around. If you can't say anything nice, then don't say it. Title: Re: Forest of dean new bus service Post by: grahame on October 16, 2022, 00:56:55 Hmmm ... there are some "sticky pages" there and depending on how you arrive at the site and (I suspect) what cookies you set as you navigate, price may or may not be easy. I'm seeing it talk of "Concessionary Passes" and note that's probably ENGLISH ones - ENCTS scheme; probably worth a footnote as the area I think borders Wales and typically Welsh passes aren't valid in England ...
Title: Re: Forest of dean new bus service Post by: ChrisB on October 16, 2022, 11:32:49 You can only use that service to travel out of the DRT zone, not inwards. So yes, only English bus passes. Also an English county run DRT. Can you inagine the media reaction if their council tax funded welsh citizens travel?
