Title: Portsmouth Harbour to Fratton - the new Brighton to Hove Post by: grahame on September 26, 2022, 08:02:20 Quote 07:21 Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central due 10:51 07:21 Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central due 10:51 was terminated at Fratton. It will no longer call at Cosham, Fareham, Southampton Central, Romsey, Salisbury, Warminster, Westbury, Trowbridge, Bradford-On-Avon, Bath Spa, Bristol Temple Meads, Filton Abbey Wood, Newport South Wales and Cardiff Central. This is due to a shortage of train crew. "Well - it wasn't cancelled" ;D I remember seeing a Brighton to Great Malvern train setting off and not running beyond Hove. Now that GWR have given up their services to Brighton perhaps the new shortest run is Portsmouth Harbour to Fratton - I wonder what proportion of passengers that use the service on a normal day can actually make use of it. I do note an extra train from Bristol to Cardiff so at least the tail of the route is picked up as well in this case.
