06:08 Westbury to London Paddington due 07:52
This train has run empty.

Light refreshments in carriage A.

There are a couple like this on the FGW board this morning. Hope the crew weren't rushed off their feet.

I believe the 08:11 from Nailsea & Backwell this morning was canned, too, John?   ::)

Yep - shows cancelled owing to a train fault. Probably a problem with the electrical supply at Exeter overnight?

Thanks, Tom!  ;)

I just mentioned that one, because I know John often uses the 08:11 from Nailsea.

Do you have any similar background information on why the 08:46 Cross Country from Nailsea yesterday apparently missed out certain stations, such as Bridgwater, Yatton, Nailsea ??

I'll ask around but I can't say for sure.

I'd expect it was something to do with arriving at Bristol earlier in order to do something with it. Possibly rectify a train fault?

Dentist that morning so caught 0945, but Mrs R was non too impressed at lack of 0811.

0846 skipped the day before presumably as the XC service half an hour earlier was canned. Therefore I expect the train was heaving long before it got anywhere near Yatton and Nailsea. Probably a sensible move.
