Title: A narrow or short term view?
Post by: CyclingSid on June 06, 2022, 19:31:10
An article in today's i news says
Quote
The soaring price of petrol – which hit a record 170.4p a litre last week – compare with a 3.8 per cent rise in rail fares this year and a 0.3 per cent rise in bus fares.

How long since the fuel escalator was suspended and how much have rail prices gone up in that time, and bus fares for that matter. It is possibly the only article I have seen that seems to suggest that a 3.8 per cent rise was a good thing?

Of course, rail fares catch up in January, based on next months inflation rate!
