Title: Morlaix - Roscoff line Post by: Mark A on March 27, 2022, 10:54:39 "From Ushant to Scilly is 35 leagues."
From Roscoff to the nearest point on GWR's network probably just as far, not sure where that's going to be. A friend having arrived via the Plymouth ferry kindly dropped by Roscoff station before heading off on a cycle. Morlaix to Roscoff having been out of use for some time, courtesy of a twitternaut who flagged it, here's an article (in French) from autumn 2021. https://www.letelegramme.fr/finistere/morlaix/la-ligne-morlaix-roscoff-n-a-pas-dit-son-dernier-mot-08-10-2021-12843198.php Mark Title: Re: Morlaix - Roscoff line Post by: bradshaw on March 27, 2022, 12:07:58 For Spanish Ladies perchance?
Title: Re: Morlaix - Roscoff line Post by: Jamsdad on March 27, 2022, 15:28:24 I am afraid the Roscoff line is in a terrible state and SNCF seem to be able to semi-close lines like this without much come-back . I haven't seen a train on the line for some time and I suspect its the replacement bus that is going tobe the norm for the forseeable future. Having said that the replacement bus is not too bad!

A single car modern unit was working 2 round trips a day at that point. I have photos somewhere of the sleepers but not sure where now!
Title: Re: Morlaix - Roscoff line Post by: Mark A on May 27, 2023, 12:25:12 In an even worse state now according to a Twitter traveller, who also discovered to his cost that despite what various online sources say, the bus to Morlaix no longer serves the station.
