Is there a fault been found across a lot of the fleet? Is there a lack of people fixing trains and so rather more than expected out of service? Can someone re-assure me that this is not simply a reduction of train length to save vehicle milage on what may be a quiet day on the trains? Title: Re: Lots of faulty trains today, 12th March 2022 Post by: ChrisB on March 12, 2022, 09:31:24 Howabout the missing units were used to get rugby supporters home from Cardiff last night & consequently now out of position for starting today’s timetable? Just a thought

Just a thought The "train fault" being that they're not in the right places??? Yes, it is all the train's fault. ;D Title: Re: Lots of faulty trains today, 12th March 2022 Post by: Sulis John on March 12, 2022, 13:29:03 The additional comment on the long distance short-forms begs a question:
Further Information Customers travelling on any of the listed services please note that due to faults identified on some of our trains last night, these services will be formed of 9 coaches instead of the booked 10 coaches today. Please note this will affect any seat or bicycle reservations that have been made in advance. If you require any assistance with your reservation please speak with station staff before alighting or alternatively, speak with the train manager when your service arrives into the platform. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to your journey with us today. Assuming this is correct, looks like another fleet issue raising its ugly head (or am I being over-pessimistic?) Title: Re: Lots of faulty trains today, 12th March 2022 Post by: IndustryInsider on March 12, 2022, 13:39:20 It looks to me more likely that the standard text for short forms has changed to give additional information than was the case.

Just a thought You may not be far off there Chris. It may be after carrying many Welsh fans home late last night after the game and after a few drinks, some carriages may not have been in a fit state for passenger use this morning.
