Three services from the West of England delayed between Newbury and Theale. One Paignton to Paddington service diverted via Melksham with an extra call at Swindon for Pewsey passengers. Title: Re: Delays between Reading and Southcote Junction Post by: GWR 158 on July 20, 2021, 16:55:32 I was on the 11:00 Basingstoke to Reading train, I got delayed at Bramley for over 2 hours. The train arrived into Reading at 13:42. What a Nightmare! The on-board crew were very helpful though. The guard told me that the broken down train was a freight train. A rescue locomotive was sent but shortly after leaving the depot that failed! Third time lucky, the third rescue train removed the failed train from southcoate junction and all was well at 13:00. What a day!
