Title: News - XC are conveying passengers ... Post by: grahame on May 25, 2021, 08:29:24 Quote Cancellations to services between Exeter St Davids and Newton Abbot Due to a points failure between Exeter St Davids and Newton Abbot all lines are blocked. Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until 08:30 25/05. Customer Advice CrossCountry are conveying passengers between Bristol Temple Meads and Penzance in both directions until further notice. I can appreciate XC conveying GWR passengers who have been delayed and find the next train is an XC one. But (in my view) it should be automatic that passengers are carried irrespective of the operator ... and that XC convey passengers between Bristol and Penzance if they're running passenger trains there! ;). I live in hope of GBR - but I worry at the devil in the details P.S. The original report rather reads as if XC have a different route that avoids the Exeter to Newton Abbott section. Not yet the case! Title: Re: News - XC are conveying passengers ... Post by: ChrisB on May 25, 2021, 11:02:00 It's intended so to allow GWR-specific ticket holders onto XC at no additional cost.
