Is Mr Ali's result, a total payment of 416 times the "dodged" fare, a record?

Would it not be useful if stories such as this were more widely publicised so that individuals who believe it is OK to defraud the railways will think again.

I was recently disappointed when a local business owner, who I have informed on a couple of occasions that they had undercharged me, told me that during the first lockdown she used the same return ticket four times Axminster to Southampton as there were no on-train checks. She was only "caught" on the last journey as the gateline was closed and she told the staff that she was unable to buy a ticket, she was sent to the ticket office to pay, offered to pay, in cash, only from Salisbury, was told it was card only, said she had left her card at home which met with the response "It's your lucky day then". Gone down in my estimation.
