Dismissing claims festival-goers had been unimpressed by headliners Jay-Z, the Verve and Kings of Leon, Mr Richards said slow sales could be attributed to fears of more wet weather. Rumours that the US rap star had dropped out were also untrue, he said. More than 250,000 revellers registered earlier this year. Ticket registration will open again at 4pm today, see http://www.glastonburyregistration.co.uk/ for more details.
