I can't imagine a very DiY focussed store (ie without much of the soft furnishing/home type stock) does much business on Boxing Day, so paying over the odds to get staff in is probably not worth it.

A Crossrail service from Slough was booked to arrive at 00:05 but was nearly two minutes early. Perhaps not surprisingly it didn't hang around and the ECS working left five minutes early to head to the carriage sidings at Maidenhead. Correctly it lists trains at twenty minute intervals to Terminal 2/3
Unfortunately above the listings it says clearly and in red there are no trains running today.
