Title: Railfuture National Conference, Salisbury, 5th July 2008

The Mayor of Old Sarum (Salisbury) (designate), Cllr Mrs Iris Evans, has agreed to open the Conference.

Guest speakers include:
Former BR manager and writer on rail matters, Peter Rainer
Stakeholder Relations Manager, South West Trains, Phil Dominey.

There will also be "How to succeed" presentations from campaigners, including:
Bruce williamson on Using the Media
Graham Ellis on Trans Wilts
Campaigners from Severnside, Wessex, Devon & Cornwall and Thames Valley.

(I attended this conference in Ely last year and found it very interesting and useful.   Good to have it in our area this time around!)

Update ... Two weeks to go and I would love to meet any of you who I know only by your "coffeeshop handle" and old friends to at the conference. It should be a most interesting day!

The "2008 National Rail Users' Conference" is being held this year in Salisbury, on Saturday 5 July 2008. This is an excellent opportunity to hear speakers such as Phil Dominey (Stakeholder relations manager, South West Trains), Peter Rayner (former BR Manager and writer on Rail Matters and a whole host of others, and to meet a range of other rail users, advocates and campaigners.

The Banqueting Hall, The Guildhall, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP1 1JH Guildhall

10 to 15 minutes walk from Salisbury Station

Doors open 10 a.m., conference starts 10:45, closes appox 17:00

Fee - 10 pounds (member), 12.50 (non-members); buffet lunch available, prebooked, at 10.00 each.
