Title: Full and standing
Post by: Jim on April 09, 2007, 09:23:17
As lets faced it FGW expected, a lot of services were wedged on Good Friday, a source tells me that 2 trains from Paddington - West Of England were turning away passengers at Westbury! I don;t have this as fact, but I belive they did not stop any other services here to pick up the stranded passengers, I will give more info when I find out.

On the other hand, in Cornwall on the same day, the guard was "urging us to sit down" in the handfull of seats, he asked us all where we were going (Penzance) but I urged him to let someone else sit down instead of me, he did find it quite funny when I told him that coming from Bristol area I stand up on a high percentage of journeys
