Title: Tree vs Rail 16/17 August 2019 Post by: bradshaw on August 17, 2019, 08:17:58 Quote 06:44 Weymouth to Bristol Temple Meads due 09:08 However the train ran ecs from Weymouth at 0628 before taking up the service as the 0709 from Maiden Newton. 06:44 Weymouth to Bristol Temple Meads due 09:08 will be started from Maiden Newton. It will no longer call at Weymouth, Upwey and Dorchester West. This is due to a tree blocking the railway earlier today Journey check explains that this was due to a problem with the track. If one goes back to last night, the 2O98 BRI to WEY arrived at 0224, having arrived at MDN on time but arriving at Dorchester 195 mins late. Was the ecs service to prove the safety of the track or due to crew out of time?
