Title: Torbay Airshow Post by: REVUpminster on May 07, 2019, 16:54:50 Anybody seen a special timetable for 1 & 2 June between Paignton and Newton Abbott and beyond.
[This post was concerning the 2019 Air Show - Red Squirrel] Title: Re: Torbay Airshow Post by: JayMac on May 07, 2019, 19:54:07 There are no STP (short term planning) trains between NTA and PGN showing on data feeds for those dates, except some changes to CrossCountry services for engineering work elsewhere.
One to ask GWR directly if they're putting on additional trains. May just be lengthening existing services. Title: Re: Torbay Airshow Post by: REVUpminster on May 31, 2019, 22:36:06 Looks like one extra train running maybe two.
Title: Re: Torbay Airshow Post by: REVUpminster on June 01, 2019, 09:58:34 2Z30 958 Exeter St David - 10.44 Paignton. only stopping at Dawlish, Teignmouth, Newton Abbott, Torquay still gives a 44 minute gap at Paignton
Title: Re: Torbay Airshow Post by: REVUpminster on June 01, 2019, 12:28:31 2Z30 came in 9 car 800314 (about 300 passengers). After 10minutes reversed empty as 5Z31 back to Exeter.
The service trains 2T10 came in left as 2Z21 and subsequent locals came in as T and left as Z 5Z31 must be coming back as 2Z31 Exeter 11.54 Paignton 12.43. All the time I had. Try to get back later. At Paignton they have open a temporary Exit/Entry from the rear of platform 2 making the passengers detour through the car park which is closed as is the station toilets. Title: Re: Torbay Airshow Post by: PhilWakely on June 01, 2019, 14:05:07 When was the last time a through Plymouth to Paignton passenger service ran?
2Z32 (12:32 Plymouth to Paignton) which was formed by a 2+4 HST GTi. Title: Re: Torbay Airshow Post by: REVUpminster on June 01, 2019, 19:53:56 Summary of what happened this afternoon bearing in mind the show finished at 5.30pm. People were leaving early.

Title: Re: Torbay Airshow Post by: Ralph Ayres on May 18, 2022, 22:58:26 Meanwhile the Dartmouth Steam Railway don't seem to be running a late train after the Red Devils on the Saturday. Presumably they don't think it's worth their while even diesel-hauled, but I'd far rather have used the train last time than join the scrum for the bus.
