GWR confirmed that the final HST booked to run is Quote For information. I really didn't like that they were displacing the D1000s, and regretted also that the 50 xxxs were on their way out, too. But over the years I've come to appreciate the work done by these machines. I don't suppose the designers had the start/stop nature of the Worcester and Hereford route services in mind; they are designed to be more greyhound than carthorse. The plastic that comes in their wake is definitely not the same.
