Title: New trains for Hull

The HST arrived in the city last night.

A new train has arrived at Hull Trains, in a bid to bolster its fleet and improve reliability.

The HST arrived in the city last night, ahead of their fleet of five new trains at the end of this year.

It will be introduced into service in the next month.

Newly arrived and excellent for the job ... but has anyone noticed they're not actually new?

I assume a former GWR HST?

It is indeed a former GWR HST. Cut down to 2+5 and it will retain 'FGW' livery. Hull Trains need the set in service as quickly as possible and aren't going to faff around getting it reliveried.

GWR have loaned it to Hull Trains until it goes off lease later this year. By that time Hull Trains should have the first of their new build Class 802s.
