Title: Single door at Freshford?? Post by: grahame on October 31, 2018, 19:41:12 I've noticed announcements at Westbury several times over the last week or two.
"This train will be formed of three carriages. Passengers for Avoncliff and Freshford should join the front coach" Avoncliff, understood. But why Freshford. Post by: plymothian on October 31, 2018, 19:49:40 Because the default train should be 5 carriages long and the auto CIS applies the warning to all trains?
The same happens at all "short" platforms no matter if the train fits eg a 2 car trains fits at St James Park towards Exmouth, but all trains are announced as front carriage only. Title: Re: Single door at Freshford?? Post by: grahame on November 01, 2018, 02:09:28 I thought the new! extended! platforms at Freshford were supposed to be five carriages long? They are. And they appear finished and I have seen them in use on a couple of occasions. Not been there in a five car train yet; have been there in a six with the rear three locked out and three in use being rather busy.
