Title: Paul McCartney Post by: martyjon on March 12, 2018, 07:15:36 When BBC Radio 4 fires up every morning by taking over the wavelength from the BBC's World Service there is a 'On this day' slot which details events that took place on the date in previous years.
One of todays was, 'on this day in bla-bla Paul MaCartney married his first wife Linda, as they emerged from the Registry Office the couple were greeted by dozens of teary eyed teenage girl fans to get a glimpse of the last Bachelor Beatle. Later the couple were interviewed on the steps of their new home and part of that interview was played and went thus' ;- Reporter: 'Paul how does it feel to be married'. McCartney: 'Dunno, not been married before'. A N Other reporter: 'The ceremony was a bit late taking place, what happened'. McCartney: 'My brother was Best Man and he was delayed by British Railways'. Nothings changed since the year bla-bla apart from the operator. To conclude this post it is sad to hear the news of the death of Ken Dodd on this day in 2018. RIP Ken.
