Title: Heritage rail vehicle standards Post by: stuving on November 02, 2017, 19:33:02 RSSB have been working on three new standards (https://www.rssb.co.uk/standards-and-the-rail-industry/standards-explained/rail-industry-standards/heritage-rail-vehicle-standards), specifically for heritage railways. An industry consultation has now finished, and publication is due by the end of the year.

RIS-4472-RST – Technical requirements for heritage vehicles RIS-2003-RST – Certification of heritage vehicles RIS-3440-TOM – Operation of heritage trains The current schedule would see these standards published in December 2017, subject to industry giving final agreement and sign-off via the relevant standards committees.
