That was two trains from Swindon cancelled.  What they didn't say, but kindly did, was make the 06:40 also stop at Swindon as well as Reading!

When this happens they usually stop at Didcot. Not today...

Directive from on high issued in December is that the 0640 Bristol only calls additionally at Reading now, when the 0630 Bristol is cancelled. Although as 2 consecutive services from Swindon to Didcot were cancelled (0556 Cheltenham & 0630 Bristol), the 0458 Swansea was called additionally at Didcot.

Hi, Timbertool, and welcome to the forum!

I'm sorry that you have suffered a bad experience in travelling today: however, as you will probably see from the other posts in this topic - sometimes, things just don't seem to make any sense!

Hope you have better luck tomorrow?

Chris.  :D
