Thanks for posting details of those 'presentations' here, grahame.  ;)

Wow!  That final image, suggesting what a new station at Corsham could look like.  I'd go there, just to gaze at it in awe!  :o

I wish all the best to everyone campaigning for the building and opening of those three stations in Wiltshire.

Thanks, Chris ... that was rather a flood of information from me.   Feedback from attendees so far is generally very positive - with a comment "you are certainly not a hanging basket CRP" from an industry contact bringing a really warm chuckle.  All three cases are different, but there's a commonality of sensible approach and the cases don't look half bad; with Paul Johnson at the help and significant backup, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see our first station opening in Wiltshire since 1985 being one of these, and being within the time that Paul and I are actively involved.

I thought I saw four new stations mentioned across the various parts?

i.e.  Corsham, Royal Wooton Bassett, Wantage/Grove, Wilton

Is one of them an interloper?

Or is at buy 3 get one free deal?    ;D

Paul

Wantage / Grove is not in Wiltshire, so not within the TransWilts arena except that it's naturally served by the same trains as the other stations in some scenarios.   Wiltshire Station cases may be strengthened by Wantage, but do not depend on it and the Wantage case may in turn be strengthened from Wiltshire, so mutual co-operation is very sensible.

There's actually an additional station for which there are major plans as it's grown fro handling just a handful of passengers a day into the hundreds, and with every prospect of further growth which makes the current setup inadequate and with dangerous elements.

Erm ... Dilton Marsh?  :P

There IS a plan to lengthen the platform at Dilton Marsh, although not based on historic growth.  With an improved service giving a direct practical communing day to a workplace, there's every probability of growth at DMH.   Slightly more complex in terms of the direct service offered and how that direct service compares to Westbury's direct service to the sae place ....

Thanks, grahame.  I assume you meant to type 'commuting' rather than 'communing', though?  ;D

I did mean commuting Chris, thank you.   But then a consistent direct service to the same destinations each time would help the residents of Dilton Marsh in communing with their colleagues in person at their office / base.
