Title: Re: Guess The 5 Stations Post by: vacman on February 19, 2008, 22:06:43 1=Reading
2=Bristol TM 3=Plymouth 4=Melksham 5=Gatwick Airport Title: Re: Guess The 5 Stations Post by: Chris from Nailsea on February 19, 2008, 22:27:35 4 looks a bit difficult! For goodness' sake, don't let grahame hear you saying that! ;D And good shout, vacman: I got 2, 3 and 4, but I was struggling a bit with the others! Title: Re: Guess The 5 Stations Post by: vacman on February 19, 2008, 22:46:49 The secret is to look at the trains in the stations, thats the only way I guessed Gatwick.
Title: Re: Guess The 5 Stations Post by: Chris from Nailsea on February 19, 2008, 23:07:30 Well, vacman, it's still a good shout, because I did exactly that, and I still couldn't work it out! Lots of long red trains? I'm not used to seeing that, here in Somerset!
By the way, what's the train on your avatar? Looks like a Cornish branch livery, but forgive my ignorance, I don't get chance to travel so far west these days! Chris ;) Title: Re: Guess The 5 Stations Post by: Ollie on February 19, 2008, 23:53:17 Plan on making the next one more difficult :D
Title: Re: Guess The 5 Stations Post by: grahame on February 20, 2008, 05:07:16 2 is Temple Meads. 4 looks a bit difficult! I've been having difficulty with No. 4 for years. You'll note it's shown without a train; *with* a train would have made it a much more unusual picture and harder :D Seriously - it is a difficult one to recognise from the air, especially at that zoom level. Lots of long red trains? I'm not used to seeing that, here in Somerset! That is either 153329 or 153369. Wessex received them as extra units from FNW. They then refurbished them with Champan seats(like the 150 ones) and painted them into a blue livery in the same style as the 150's with local place vinyls. One was named The Looe Valley Something and the other The St Ives Something. They operate all over the FGW area though not just in Cornwall.By the way, what's the train on your avatar?
