I might have been lucky, I guess. I think it may be extremities not being served possibly.

On the Saturday afternoon (lots of passengers out shopping) the service was sporadic with some gaps in service around 9 minutes - and this was at Green Park. During the gap, a lot of passengers had gathered and when a train arrived, it was over full leaving many behind. There then followed a small cluster of trains about 2 minutes apart, taking up remaining passengers before another gap in service.
Passengers were being advised it would be quicker to walk to some destinations, such as the winter wonderland.
