Title: Return from Didcot to Paddington but inbound journey from Reading Post by: BerkshireBugsy on November 24, 2016, 17:29:48 Hi all. On Tuesday the 6th December I will need to travel from Reading to London Paddington off peak. I will need a travel card.
So far easy. How ever I need to return to Didcot not Reading on the same day. So I guess I have two options, which are: Buy an off peak travel card from Reading and pay for a single from Reading to Didcot on the way back or Buy an off peak travel card from Didcot buy board the train at Reading for the inbound service. I would guess the second is the cheaper option but is it permissible under the COC? Gates may reject the ticket but staff should wave you through with a smile :)

The balance might change if particular railcards are used.
