Title: Report for Melksham Area Board Post by: grahame on November 06, 2016, 23:37:35 An update (http://www.wellho.net/mouth/4726_TransWilts-Partner-Update-for-Melksham-Area-Board.html) for the Melksham Area Board of Wiltshire Council who are to meet Thursday of next week. As they're the councillors for Melksham, meeting in public and attended by the interested citizens of Melksham, the report is kinda biased towards that station. Also on the agenda is a presentation looking ahead at the station; with every expectation of continued growth in passenger numbers - though not quite doubling every year from here on - a single carriage platform behind a gate on the industrial estate will struggle to provide the capacity needed, and may give the wrong impression of the town to new arrivals.

Planning for all that to be included now. :-X
Rather more seriously, grahame, may I offer my congratulations that you find yourself in this very interesting situation - almost, a victim of your own success? ;D This page is printed from the "Coffee Shop" forum at http://gwr.passenger.chat which is provided by a customer of Great Western Railway.
