Title: Funny things heard and seen on trains Post by: Bmblbzzz on September 01, 2016, 11:15:47 On a XC train from Leicester to Brum, from the bloke pushing the snack trolley to me: "I like your spots." :o This isn't quite as odd as it sounds when you know I was wearing a spotted shirt*. He then proceeded to admire the tan lines on my legs! :-* 8)
On the same train there was a guy walking up and down the gangway, cleaning his teeth, dressed in extremely muddy shorts and tiger-striped shirt... complete with tiger-head hood and long, furry tail dragging on the floor. ;D *Actually a "King of the Mountains" cycling jersey, similar to this: (https://keyassets.timeincuk.net/inspirewp/live/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2016/07/WATSON_00001362-044-630x420.jpg)except that I did not have a back-to-front cap nor a digital watch. Goodness gracious, no! :o Title: Re: Funny things heard and seen on trains Post by: chuffed on September 01, 2016, 12:04:48 On a XC train from Leicester to Brum, from the bloke pushing the snack trolley to me: "I like your spots." :o This isn't quite as odd as it sounds when you know I was wearing a spotted shirt*. Sounds like a chat up line if ever there was one ! ::) And as for the legs :o I too was on a Leicester to Brum train yesterday but that never happenend to me ! :( Has anyone ever encountered the older XC trolley guy who operates out of Newport and calls everyone 'David ' or 'Mary?'. Edit note: Quote marks fixed, for clarity. CfN. ;) Title: Re: Funny things heard and seen on trains Post by: Bmblbzzz on September 03, 2016, 16:48:52 Flirtatious definitely but I wouldn't call it a chat-up line; that implies a goal and some hope, however vain, of attaining it. Even if I were inclined, a busy train gives neither the space nor the time! :o
