5. Plymouth

Sidings opposite Platform 8. I took such a near identical photo today, I'd have said my photo had been used, were it not for the fact I haven't plugged my camera into any device yet!  ;D

No.2 Cheltnham .

Err no - it isn't.  I'm guessing you may have thought of the right place but put in the name of the wrong place.

I am sure that Western Pathfinder, although slightly confused as to his path, was suggesting that 2. is Chippenham.  :P ::) ;D

I'll gift him that one - if only because I have no idea about any of the others!  :-[

You have the major credit - we all knew you meant Chippenham.

4. Two possibilities come to mind depending on how recent the photo is.

Manchester?

I must admit it's not a piece of Manchester I'm familiar with, but I thought it must be either there or Birmingham which was my first thought.

Haven't a clue about the remaining pic but there's building work going on. So going to take a random stab at London Bridge. I'm sure there's lots of other stations having work done at the moment but London Bridge is the only one I can think of.

Alas, no ... this one's really difficult ... all pictures taken by myself in the last 18 months, and you need to bear in mind that I occasionally travel quite a distance.  A quick look and I've noted that I did blog this picture last year ... rail stuff archived via http://www.wellho.net/resources/Z501.html and http://www.wellho.net/resources/Z406.html

For some reason it brings to mind the Star Ferry Terminal in Hong Kong but... your archive gives it away: New York?

New York, yes. World Trade Center, PATH station, about a year ago

Obviously not Taunton: no 'recent building work' there.  :P
