Title: A new cancellation reason?
Post by: JayMac on June 01, 2016, 09:47:40
Word reaches me that a part cancellation on the Severn Beach Line this morning was nearly caused by the following reason:

Train crew being delayed. That's inocuous enough, except that the full reason given on internal systems stated: "Train crew overslept"  ;D

What I like about that is it said "crew", suggesting more than one overslept. Were they together?

Probably not a new reason for a cancellation but putting the message on staff systems would rather embarrass the oversleeper(s). Perhaps that was the intention.

The services affected were reinstated, so the sleepy head(s) must have shook a leg.
