Title: Road rail revisited
Post by: TonyK on May 31, 2016, 16:41:26
So traffic chaos tonight in Bristol. Not one but two HST power cars were rather gingerly navigating the Lawrence Hill roundabout, with an attendant phalanx of police and escort vehicles. I was fortunate in that I was heading the other way, but traffic was snarled up right along St Philips Way and into Old Market. Alas, I was moving too well to be able to take a picture with my phone.

Interesting. The police are normally pretty strict about not moving abloads at peak times. They would normally require the loads to be held and then moved later in the day after peak traffic has subsided.

"Peak" in Bristol seems to start at around 3.30pm these days. This was around 4.15 pm. I'm sure the chaos subsided as soon as the vehicles made it to the traffic jam on the M32.
