Title: Another West Coast Railways charter 'incident' at Bath Spa - 13 April 2016 Post by: CJB666 on April 15, 2016, 10:56:48 Apparently another WCR steam charter "incident" at Bath Spa last night. Stopped short then drew forward when people were disembarking.
Apparently RAIB are investigating. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/uk.railway/z3BC8i8Y0b0 CJB Title: Re: Another West Coast Railways charter 'incident' at Bath Spa - 13 April 2016 Post by: phile on April 15, 2016, 11:00:47 Without trying to be fussy, was Wednesday 13th. Just after having their licence restored (again) another hiccup. The train was 1Z63 1636 Bristol temple Meads to West Brompton being worked by 2x47s and mixture of Mark 1 and Mark 2 carriages with no CDL.

They are still on an improvement notice, but have achiever everything required of them in the prohibition notice, thus the ORR needed to mark that notice 'achieved' and lift it

Was delayed between Bristol and Bath due signalling problems. I thought the excursion allowed for pax to disembark at Bath on the outward leg, so I could understand pax embarking on the return leg - unless of course they are referring to on-train staff disembarking.Title: Re: Another West Coast Railways charter 'incident' at Bath Spa - 13 April 2016 Post by: bobm on April 15, 2016, 20:52:27 Looking at RTT http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U59901/2016/04/13/advanced (http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U59901/2016/04/13/advanced) whatever happened didn't seem to delay its departure from Bath (although it was already 19L). Did sit at Platform 1 at Westbury for a while however. I'll not quote it here but it does appear to show continued disregard for proper safe operation by both WCRC and its staff.

Rather interesting that as we were on our way home from that forum, there's a further incident reported.

I bet he was relieved at Bath, too. I suppose that there can be no legal reason to impose the prohibition notice once the boxes are all ticked, but the haste to lift it from WCR did seem rather unseemly.
