Title: TransWilts Designation
Post by: grahame on March 19, 2016, 12:11:04
Consultation on designation of service from Swindon to Westbury concludes on 6th April 2016

The designation includes Melksham and Chippenham stations.   Designations don't usually include stations that are very large indeed where there are lots of other services (hence not Swindon), and the Heart of Wessex Community Rail Partnership take the lead - and do an excellent job - with regards to general station issues at Trowbridge and Westbury.

Looking to the future ... and indeed at the current TransWilts map ... Dilton Marsh, Warminster and Wilton could come into the mix in the future and further future.   With Tisbury as part of the new CRP for the SW line, and Bedwyn with a strong local group, that really leaves just Pewsey unadopted in the county.
