Sad news for those involved.  Accompanied by a nice picture of infrastructure at, I think, Glasgow  :-\

I liked the nostalgia further down, with Virgin HSTs, and mail carriages.

That rather depends on who they've awarded their Customer Service contract to. Could be jobs in the West. Could be employing staff from Intelenet.

So, does anyone know who GWR have awarded their Customer Service contract to now that they aren't renewing their deal with Blackstone/Intelenet (formerly Serco UK, formerly Intelenet Global Services, formerly First Info Ltd)?

Not yet, all that is currently known is that Intelenet didn't make it to the next round.

That is called "in-sourcing", don't you know!

A bit like "re-shoring" which is the reverse of "off-shoring".

Don't get me started: we now have "onboarding" which, when I started work, was someone showing you where the coffee machine is and how to fiddle your expenses.

Presumably "offboarding" = P45?
