I got 9 out of 11 - and beat 88% of others ... more luck than judgement

Well - there's nothing of note on TV tonight!

11 / 11 and beat 100% of others  :D :o  :-[

A mix of educated guesses and complete luck!!

9/11

Educated guesses for the most part, but the two I got wrong are reasonable ones not to have any idea about.  (I nearly wrote the names of the ones I got wrong in but then realised it would spoil the fun for others. ;D)

Pleasant way to pass the time while they bang on about the EU on the telly news - again.

Also 9/11.  A few of them were quite easy from the general shape, but the last maps proved quite difficult, with most being guessed just by luck.

9 from 11 for me too. Half were lucky guesses though based on the choices of answer available.

5/11 from me.

Two points in mitigation, if I may?

1. I wasn't taking it too seriously;

2. Not one of them was Taunton.

CfN.  :P ::) :-[

7/11 - my defence is I should be working...

Despite only knowing three for sure, I ended up with 10/11 - and the one missing was a 50/50 mental coin flip. But I think the limited choices did make it easy, in that of each three options one was obviously wrong and the others could usually be split based on a rough idea of the likely size of the system. And luck.

10/11 for me which is more than I expected to get.

But actually was rather easy - London, Chicago, Glasgow, New York are the only ones I have used, but San Francisco (BART) I will visit later this year and have already figured out my route from the airport.

As for the others, some of the alternatives were rather easy to discount (ie systems that looked far to extensive for the likes of Tornoto, Stockholm or Australia) which left not too much to guess.

11/11 more by luck than judgement.

Tim route from San Francisco Airport to Market Street is easy it's the little spur on the Western line. OAP's can buy cheap tickets on Bart. Also you can buy multi day tickets on Muni which covers you on the trams, trolley buses buses and the cable cars.

San Francisco is a public transport enthusiasts paradise.

Don't forget the ferries across the Bay and Caltran (big diesels on commuter trains) at their station at 700 4th St., San Francisco 94107.

Tailor made for me. The city options listed are, with two exceptions, all destinations that were on my regular rota when I was working pre retirement.

Thanks.  I'd spotted the tiny spur to the airport.

9/11

I spent a week or so travelling on Caltrain back in '97. Mark Twain was right about San Francisco.
