Cheap advance tickets for January & possibly February, I reckon - and yes, I got it too

As did I.  So wait and see what the morning brings forth.

There's a technical issue with loading the Fares into the booking engine. Deja vu.

Well I have the email, and the offer is for Advance Singles for travel between Oxford and Paddington between 11th Jan and 2nd March from ^6.
Given that I live in Didcot and don't fancy travelling to Oxford to get a cheap ticket it isn't of much use.
Maybe  I was sent the email because I live in an OX postcode  >:(
Although I don't really understand why you can't purchase advance tickets, towards London, from Didcot, given that I believe that you can purchase them on all the trains that go through Didcot towards London e.g. Cheltenham, Bristol, Oxford, Worcester etc.

^6 is the normal lowest price for PAD-OXF advances though!

Received email at 17.17 countdown is now about 30 hours it ends midnight tomorrow.

I've just booked a ^20 return from BPW to PAD on Jan 11th.

Hi All,

Just booked two deals , both trains leaving Padd. during peak hours on the return part and it said made a saving of over 198 pounds.

You have to be quick some are showing very few tickets.

I'e been trying since 10:30pm and it is now 11:45pm and the booking engine appears to be down as it won't recognise any station names.

The e-mail I received from Great Western Railway at 16:23 yesterday says:


Problem is, I can't remember the last time I travelled to Paddington - but there are many other destination stations that I could find useful.

Why do GWR apparently assume that I'd only find cheap tickets to London of any interest?  ::)

I've booked now, but it took a while

Made use of this toady for a few tickets for my mum.

The website is very clunky and it was really difficult to book for more than one journey, ended up doing 3 separate transactions.

Appears to be a further offer from ^6 to ^19 across their network. Another email arrived this morning.

Book by January 12th, for travel between January 20th & March 22nd.

Further, it seems that there are triple nectar points on offer too!

I got both these offers - "Avon Triple Bonus Nov15" and "West of England triple off-peak STD" so, for a ^26 spend, I got a total of 156 Nectar points!
