Title: Winter 2015 Timetables Post by: Timmer on November 16, 2015, 17:22:41 Here's the Winter 15 Timetables for services in and around the GWR region. I haven't been able to locate the new GWR timetables on their recently launched website. If you find it, please do post the link the below:

The single line section between Axminster and Yeovil Junction probably makes it difficult to find paths at peak times when a service like this would be useful to/from Exeter.Title: Re: Winter 2015 Timetables Post by: Timmer on November 20, 2015, 17:04:54 UPDATE: GWR Winter timetables are now available for your viewing pleasure:

Great you've added Oldfield Park and Keynsham to table C7. Makes this pocket timetable useful for passengers from these two stations rather than having to refer to the larger C3 booklet. :) Title: Re: Winter 2015 Timetables Post by: SandTEngineer on November 20, 2015, 18:01:01 Shame on GWR. Obviously didn't proof read the Barnstaple table in Timetable W1 ::)
It only took me 10 minutes of speed reading to spot that :P Title: Re: Winter 2015 Timetables Post by: phile on November 20, 2015, 19:52:16 Here's the Winter 15 Timetables for services in and around the GWR region. Title: Re: Winter 2015 Timetables Post by: Timmer on November 20, 2015, 20:13:36 Shame on GWR. Obviously didn't proof read the Barnstaple table in Timetable W1 ::) I take it you are referring to 00.05 Exmouth to Portsmouth Arms on P75?It only took me 10 minutes of speed reading to spot that :P Worth posting any issues you spot here as someone at or linked with GWR can report them to add to a list of corrections that gets published on the website just before the timetable starts. Title: Re: Winter 2015 Timetables Post by: The Tall Controller on November 21, 2015, 00:00:56 Always worth doing, well said Timmer. I'll get on this straight away.

Not just that 0005. Look at the journey times from Exmouth to Exeter Central on services onward to Barnstaple on that p75 as well as the following two pages. Has someone fitted rockets to the 143s and 150s? 8 minutes to do 10.5 miles. That's a average speed of 79mph. Impressive for rolling stock limited to 75mph on a line with (mostly) a 50mph limit. These train also call on request only at Exeter Central, going on to Crediton without bothering to call at Exeter St Davids! Except two Mon-Sat services, the first rocket propelled service of the day from Exmouth and another in the evening, that do call Exeter St Davids, but only on request. On Sundays the Exmouth to Barnstaple services are mostly given a far more leisurely 9 or 10 minutes between Exmouth and Exeter Central. But again, if you want to board at the Exeter stations you better stick your hand out, according to the timetable. If GWR can't get something as basic as its 'shop window' right then I don't hold out much hope for how it runs the rest of its business ::) :P Sudden thought; Perhaps I could offer my proof reading skills to GWR ;) Title: Re: Winter 2015 Timetables Post by: Oxonhutch on November 21, 2015, 10:41:00 Once again in Table East 2, the 0706 HST up semi-fast service from Didcot is not showing the 0759 call at Maidenhead. This stop was also missing in the pre-release version of the current timetable.
Another one for the GWR correctors I think. Title: Re: Winter 2015 Timetables Post by: The Tall Controller on November 21, 2015, 11:24:54 We already have a couple of brilliant proof readers from this forum on our list. Always room for one more! ;)

Always room for one more! ;) I would be happy to help (for a small fee) ;) :D ;D Title: Re: Winter 2015 Timetables Post by: bobm on November 22, 2015, 18:14:23 I have already volunteered (ie no fee). I quite enjoy looking through other people's efforts and picking holes in it. ;D
When you are close to a project it is easy to miss the blindingly obvious in your own work. I often put things I have worked on out to others and am surprised at some of the things they spot which I really should have seen. Apologies
