Title: Ultra-recent!
Post by: grahame on October 14, 2015, 11:15:17
In Contrast to PhilWakely's recent quiz - here is an ultra-modern one. Nothing more that 100 days old!

Probably all frighteningly easy - so please just one each for the first 24 hours ...

None of them is Melksham - though it tends to be 'tother end of most of the journeys I took pictures on!   It's wonderful to be able to actually use the train to get to these places ...

It's got me puzzled there appears to be SWT 158? coupled to an (First) GWR 150? so possibly Salisbury.

Indeed.  I was up at 04:30 on Monday morning.

It's not Salisbury, I'm afraid.   As you may have noted from some of the earlier answers, there are some distinctly unusual workings shown in some of these pictures!

A bit of a guess, but if 10 isn't Salisbury or Exeter (the canopy girders are wrong for either) then how about Southampton?

Could the unusual working be due to ex-Cardiff rugby specials?

Nope, sorry - not Southampton either.

Paul

Yes, it is

1. Maiden Newton

3. Taunton

Yes, both right

Ahem... second sentence in the OP...  ::)

Yes, but where a member who rarely takes part in these quizzes puts up an extra answer up, I'm going to use discretion - not all budding RPOs here!  ;D

No. 7 is going to be quite tricky unless you take a look at where I was that's not near a current station about a month ago.  I did post in some detail on this site, about the site I'm showing.

Wilton?

Wilton?

Correct - taken on 12th September (see http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=16215.0 ) when I took the very short walk up from the event at the outlet village to a potential site for Wilton / Wilton Parkway.  Just behind the trees to the right is the Wilton Park and Ride, to the left is the Exeter line  and diagonally behind me big new developments of housing.
