They say a picture paints a thousand words - it may do, but in this case it doesn't paint the full story.   I was delighted to attend both the Citizens Rail Conference and the ACoRP awards, and to take a couple of rail trips laid on while in the area - pictures in the previous post.    The real gain was the talking with and learning from all the other rail partnership people - to listen to their stories and to network.   I come back refreshed with inspiration, with stories, with knowledge, with new friends and people I know I can ask about specifics in the future.   A cynic about such events in the past, I see a huge value in this particular set - in recognising people, in inspiring people, in saying "Thank you" and in terms of educating for the future.  And laying on a special train is a great way to put 'em all together and get 'em all to talk.

There ARE stories in some of the pictures ... to be shared later.   Anyone is welcome to name people or places in this (somewhat lighter) thread.
