A great place to sup a pint and watch the trains go by.

Word of warning. Bit pricey. My proper Czech Budweiser cost me ^4.50.

I'd expect a litre of it, rather than a pint, at that price! :o

A hostelry I have frequented many times; I find Bath Ales own brews are more reasonably priced at ^3.50 per pint  :)

Hmm.  In my local Wetherspoon's (http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/the-glass-maker), Bath Ales are generally priced at a very reasonable ^1.99 for a pint.  :-X

Great value! That would be ^1.49 for me with my Camra money off voucher  ;D

Same here .... except I have used my quarterly allocation of vouchers!

Thing is, I'm on a bit of a lager bent at the moment. Quality lager mind, which means paying through the nose in many locations.

Me too. Ordinary strength lager gives me a headache - although strangely Carksberg Special doesn't!

I'm normally a lager drinker though I avoid American Budweiser as that gives me a headache. I've recently been introduced to IPA which I do like and my current tipple when in Wetherspoons pubs is Devils Backbone, an American Pale Ale I believe.

How can American Budweiser give you a headache? There's naff all in it (as the well-worn joke about making love in a punt recalls...) ;D

I tend to stick to Rattler cider, or if that's not available any small brewer cider will suffice.
It seems to vary in price from ^2.80-^4.60 a pint here in Redruth. I'm aware my local sports club is doing a promotion for ^1.50 pints during the 80mins of the World Cup games though. I think I may be steaming for less than 20 quid!

Don't know. Weird chemicals maybe? It's not something you often see on draught, all my experiences have been from bottles so can't blame a bad pint .

I'm always nervous of any product where the makers spend more on advertising than on ingredients...
