Title: Q: May I post about ... Post by: grahame on August 31, 2015, 19:03:47 A couple of posts over tha last 48 hours have reminded me that it's a long time since I (re)stated some of our posting limits, and there have been many new members since that time
On the "YOU MAY" side. We a forum that's run by and for passengers, and if (in your opinion) there's a better legal way to meet someone's needs than the standard railway product, you're welcome to post about it. And again, if you feel a railway company hasn't got something quite right, you're welcome to post. You're responsible for your own words, and should bear in mind that being truthful and constructive in such cments is far more likley to make them effective that doing a <rant> even though you may feel better satisfied by the latter. But on the "YOU MAY NOT". Firstly there are legal limits - copyright, incitement, invasion of privacy, decency. Then there are our own limits - spam, off topic advertising, pyramid selling, personal attacks on each other, etc. And finally, please don't talk about things on the public boards which will significantly aid others in illegal activities such as defrauding the railways of fares. Example of that latter ... Within the last six months, I stood with a fellow campaigner watching as rail income that was legally due leaked away. You can discuss to some extent in "frequent posters" but the real feedback path isn't via this forum's boards. The admins / moderators may be able to discuss and direct via personal message or email if you need to bring something to the attention of the powers that be, or to check if something's already known about. This page is printed from the "Coffee Shop" forum at http://gwr.passenger.chat which is provided by a customer of Great Western Railway. Views expressed are those of the individual posters concerned.
